When I work with people 1-2-1 one of the first things I try and do is help them realise that they can actually change and can achieve what they want.
So many people who have dieted for years and years start a diet already having decided that they are going to fail on it, or they have decided that they will do it for a short set period before then going back to the lifestyle and food choices that they made before.
Now that is fine, if someone wants to eat too many calories and put weight on and they are happy to do that then I certainly won't tell them not to but when you chat to people and they are being honest then usually they will admit that they hate and are bored of the diet lifestyle and would love to never have to diet again.
But do they truelly believe it ? Do you actually believe it ?
Do you really believe you can trim a few pounds off, get slim and then never have to diet again ?
Or do you think you are stuck dieting and are destined to diet and struggle with your weight for the rest of your life as it is in your genes ?
Because I did ! I really thought that I had to be big for the rest of my life as that was who I was...but it isn't true. At anytime you can stop dieting and just be slim...if you don't believe me then ask yourself why you don't ?
